Two strong new additions to the Compendeon team
Compendeon is pleased to announce that it has further enhanced its skill set with the addition of two specialists to its team.
Seba Negomireanu will join as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). One of the key strengths of our firm is the ability to translate investment knowledge into scalable products with a large quantitative / IT component. Both our flagship Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA) suite and the ExpecTAA risk module are good examples. We believe that large institutional investors should be provided with advice and products that have a solid and robust academic base and proven track record, while at the same time offering a high level of transparency.
While working for one of our suppliers, Seba has shown tremendous skill in creating applications that fulfill these demands. We are pleased that he accepted the offer to join Compendeon on a fulltime basis. We believe that this will further enhance our ability to serve our clients in the best possible way. Compendeon CEO Erik van Dijk adds: “Some new projects in our Management Selection unit will be helped tremendously by Seba’s skills. We believe that this can lead to some exciting new modules for the COMSA (Compendeon Manager Selection Application) product in the fourth quarter of 2009.’’
Alin Rusu will join as Risk Manager / Researcher. Just like Seba, he is originally from Romania. Alin’s skills in Applied Mathematics are very much welcome since they will increase the breadth of our GTAA team. If anything has become clear since July 2007, during the period of the credit crisis, it is the importance of solid and robust risk management.
We believe that with our systems being based on joint work with Nobel Prize laureate Dr. Markowitz – one of the world’s renowned risk specialists - future generations of our applications should further expand in this area and incorporate the newest risk management research. Compendeon CEO Erik van Dijk: “We believe that Alin is the ideal person to help that effort. His academic skills are strong, while his knowledge about the transfer of pure research into products will be beneficial to all of our units.”
